Dear Patti,
On behalf of the residents, staff, and Board of Directors of Kids in Crisis, I would like to thank you and your co-workers at the American Institute For Foreign Studies for providing the pizza and ice cream party for the children at our shelter. Our children, and our staff, truly enjoyed spending time with you. The entertainment, both "Pongo" and the face painting, was wonderful. Our staff made it a point to tell me that yours was one of the most interactive groups ever to be involved with our children.
Kids in Crisis provides, free of charge, immediate telephone and face-to-face crisis counseling services to young people, newborn through age 17, and their families. When necessary, we are able to offer short-term shelter services to children and adolescents. We also reach out to the community by providing presentations as to our service provision as well as education on issues facing children and adolescents.
Your donation of time spent with our children provided them with an opportunity to experience an event that they may not have otherwise experienced. Your efforts put a smile on the faces of children who have smiled so rarely in their short lives. Thank you for helping them to laugh.
The children wanted to thank you personally. Enclosed is a banner your enjoyment.
